I always hear people tell me about the movies they want to make, the mountains they want to climb or the jumps they want to build. When @chrisbenchetler told me about making a movie honoring the Grateful Dead and that for one of the sections he wanted to light up a backcountry face and ride it in skeleton suites I gave my normal answer of, “sounds cool, call me when it’s set in stone.” After not hearing from him for months that call came. I had no idea what expect. But I was dumbfounded when we saw this backcountry face lit up like it was from a different planet. The logistics to pull something like this off is mind blowing. Huge props to everyone making dreams a reality! Honored to be apart of it! #deadandshred #fireonthemountain Une publication partagée par Jeremy Jones (@jeremyjones) le 6 Mars 2019 à 5 :45 PST Voir cette publication sur Instagram Dropping into this scene last night was a completely surreal experience. The stars have aligned to bring that dream to fruition, but requires the hemlocks to be closed for today. I know better than anyone how much of a bummer that is for a bluebird pow day. I’ve been skiing this little honey hole for as long as I can remember… However, what I can say is that I’m working with the @gratefuldead and an all-star cast @kimmyfasani @rob_machado @jeremyjones @travelindan and @myshellparker in collaboration with @sweetgrassp to bring you on an incredible visual journey. I hope you accept my apologies and can respect the closures. Stay tuned for the film project this fall.
