Le grimpeur George King a escaladé ce lundi en solo intégral les 306 mètres de la tour The Shard à Londres.

Probablement inspiré par les exploits d’Alain Robert, le grimpeur George King a gravi ce lundi les 306 mètres de la tour The Shard à Londres. Cet urban climber de 19 ans, qui publie régulièrement ses ascensions de bâtiments sur son compte Instagram, a mis 45 minutes pour venir à bout de cette tour en solo intégral. « Les services de secours se sont rendus sur place et l’homme se trouve maintenant avec des officiers de police. Il n’a pas été arrêté« , a précisé la police de Scotland Yard dans un communiqué.

De son côté, George King a expliqué avoir attrapé le virus de l’escalade à l’âge de 13 ans lorsqu’il a vu cette tour pour la première fois. Il a toujours gardé l’ambition de la grimper un jour, ce qu’il a donc réalisé hier.
